Boston--Today, Candidate for United States Senate and former
United States Attorney for Massachusetts Mike Sullivan delivered over 20,000
signatures from cities and towns across the Commonwealth to the office of the
Secretary of State clearing the way for a place on the GOP primary ballot.
“I’m truly humbled by the all volunteer effort that pulled in
close to 30,000 signatures,” said Mr. Sullivan. “Now it’s time to get to work to
bring people together to unite around fixing Washington’s broken system to help
middle-class families and make government work for people not against them.”
Sullivan was the only Republican candidate to have an
all-volunteer force collecting his signatures. Over 20,000 of the 30,000
collected were certified by city and town clerks, reaching roughly 85% of the
Commonwealth’s communities.
Mike Sullivan worked for 16 years with The Gillette Company,
working his way up the ranks from the shop floor. He served as Plymouth County
District Attorney and United States Attorney, appointed shortly after 9/11/2001,
where he focused on counter-terrorism, prosecuting corruption and protecting
civil rights. Mr. Sullivan also served as Acting Director of the Bureau of
Alcholol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in Washington, DC.
